New music in the making

Currently I am working on several new pieces for double bass wich makes use of graphic notation. I find great joy in this work, also as a performer! The dialogue between composing and performing has always played a crucial role to my music. When working with graphic notation I often make the scores first - at least a sketch - and then interpret the score as a musician afterwards. This is a meaningful excercise both to the progress of my own work and to get a feel of how the scores I make will interact with other musicians in ensemble works.
