The first piece, subtitled PRISM, was written for a string trio with violin (Bjarne Magnus Jensen), cello (Audun Sandvik) and myself on the double bass. PRISM was premiered in Hamardomen in June 2021 as part of the Flagstad festival. The main structure of the piece has three movements, each named after one of three stars in the Summer Triangle asterism: Vega, Deneb and Altair.

In addition to this main structure, I intend to write three solo pieces and three duo pieces, exploring every possible combination of instruments this ensemble allows.

DUALITY is written for a duo with double bass and voice (baritone, Bernt Ola Volungholen). This piece was premiered June 18th 2022 in Hamardomen, as part of the Flagstad festival.

DUALITY is a slowly moving exploration of a short verse by Rumi, examining every word and syllable as they echo through the long reverb in Hamardomen and pushing the range of dynamics from powerful f to almost inaudible whispers creating painterly sonic textures.

All day and night, music,

"Reflections in light - WAVE / PARTICLE" is a new work I made in collaboration with Arve Henriksen, commissioned by Festspillene i Elverum 2022. The work was premiered in Hamardomen on August 11th. The music draws inspiration from the changing nature of light and its dynamic presence in time and space.
